Injuries are Preventable!
Injuries are predictable and preventable. They are not accidents, nor the result of chance occurrence. While the risk of injury is constant, tools to manage that risk are available to individuals, communities and society.

BCIRPU's Vision
To be a leader in the production and transfer of injury prevention knowledge and the integration of evidence-based injury prevention practices in the daily lives of those at risk, those who care for them and those with a mandate for public health and safety in British Columbia.

BCIRPU's Mission
To reduce the societal and economic burden of injury among all age groups in British Columbia through surveillance, research and knowledge development, knowledge synthesis, translation and education, and public information for the support of evidence-based, effective prevention measures.
